Associate Director, Data Governance

Exelixis, an oncology-focused biotechnology company, is hiring an Associate Director, Data Governance within the Data and Analytics Platform team in the Information Technology department. The role is accountable for driving the adoption and implementation of data governance technologies and processes across the enterprise.

The Associate Director works closely with data science and data engineering teams to establish data governance best practices, processes, and technologies, and partners with the information security team to implement data security controls using data governance and security tools. The position also owns the product roadmap for data governance, including maintenance of the tech stack and adoption of processes.

• Experience implementing enterprise data governance technologies and processes
• Ability to partner with data science, data engineering, and information security teams
• Experience establishing data governance best practices and data security controls
• Experience developing and maintaining a data governance product roadmap and tech stack
