A message from our founder

F. Jay Hall, Sr., President and Chief Executive Officer · ExecSearches.com · Nonprofit-Jobs.org · GRCcareers.org · October 4, 2026

We are in the middle of a transition. I would rather tell you about it than have you notice it.

We are moving ExecSearches to a new location and the build is not finished. The important parts work. Live postings stay live and keep their web addresses, you can post a new job and pay for it today, and you can settle an invoice. Everything else is being rebuilt page by page.

Why we are rebuilding it this way

We are building this from what we learned on our other site, GRC Careers.

In eighty days it earned results and praise for its architecture that we did not expect. It entered exponential growth in search and in generative AI, and ten days after that Hunt Scanlon Media wrote about it. You know what that publication is.

It did that with no advertising, because we held to a strict standard in how every page was built. Every page is built by hand. That sounds inefficient. It is the reason for the growth, and GRC Careers now has more than 660 assets built that way. We are applying the same method to ExecSearches, to help you recruit the best people for your postings.

I have written about this on LinkedIn if you want the detail. I am happy to speak with any of you and show you more. Some of it stays proprietary for now. What I can tell you is that it is working well beyond what we expected.

Who I am, in case it matters

I was an executive search consultant at Isaacson, Miller. You know who they are.

I built this website for their partners, and then released it so other search firms could use it. I built it with executive search recruiters in mind, because that is what I was.

I dedicated GRCcareers.org to Arnie Miller, one of the founding partners of Isaacson, Miller and Chief of Personnel in the Carter White House. He taught me what I actually needed to know, which is the importance of the clients we all serve. He is the greatest influence on my career and I miss him. I dedicate what I build from here forward to him, and to the others who shaped how I think about helping recruiters do their job.

I do not build these products to get rich. I build them because I want efficiency, and because I know how hard your job is, having done it.

And I am not competing with you. We have decided to stop conducting executive search. We have only done it here and there over the past few years in any case. We proved what we wanted to prove. Now we are going to make it work for you.

The ecosystem, and why it is one

ExecSearches, GRCcareers.org and Nonprofit-Jobs.org work hand in hand. One mission: serve the civic infrastructure, which is how Arnie put it.

Whether you are a government agency with a large budget, or a small quasi-governmental organization working on community economic development, or a scientific project doing important research, those missions matter to us. And so do the people putting guardrails on AI, whether they sit at Apple or at the smallest nonprofit in your community.

When it comes time for you to recruit those people, you will recruit them from us, because we are training and preparing them. A great many already have the skills.

Two things for our clients specifically

ExecSearches clients get 50% off at GRCcareers.org. Use the code EXECSEARCHESCLIENT at checkout. The pricing structure is identical to ours here.

A section for fractional, part-time and interim roles is live on GRCcareers.org, and it is coming to ExecSearches as well.

My promise

Please be patient as this rolls out, and give us any feedback at all. A complaint is perfectly fine, because we learn from everything and we improve constantly.

If I am not doing this well, or there is something I could do better, tell me. If you are ever not satisfied with our service, at any point, tell me and I will make it right.

That is my promise to you. You do not spend a dime you do not think was worth it. If you tell me it was not, I will ask why so that I can learn, and I will refund it immediately.

I doubt you will need to, and here is why.

A posting on most job boards is a database row. It gets a web address, it sits in a list, and it is found by people who were already on that site looking. If nobody was looking that week, nobody sees it.

Yours is built as a page. One role, one page, written so that somebody searching for that job in that city finds it, and structured so search engines and AI assistants can read what it is, what it pays and who is hiring. That is the difference between a posting that waits to be found and one that goes looking.

It is also why the posting keeps working after your search closes. We do not delete the page. It becomes a guide to that role, and it carries on earning attention for the organization that posted it.

That is what you are paying for.

The guarantee is there because I am that confident. Not as a sales device, and not because I expect anyone to use it. It is there because I would rather carry the risk than ask you to.

We all know recruitment and executive search are in an evolving state. We are right in the middle of it, if not at the front of it.

How to reach me

Not an assistant, not a form queue. Me.

A word about that last one, because I do not want to oversell it. LinkedIn's chat is not private and I am not going to pretend otherwise. I use it because it is where you already are and it is the easiest way for you to get to me today. I have no complaint about LinkedIn. It has given me fewer problems than the alternatives, and it is how I reach most of the people I want to reach.

It is not where this ends. Confidentiality matters in this work, and a recruiting conversation belongs on a system we control rather than on somebody else's. We will build our own. We have not built it yet. When we do, that is where these conversations will move, and I will tell you when it is ready.

With thanks for your business,
