Ethos Life is recruiting an executive Director to lead the product deployment and structural governance of its conversational and generative AI stack. This role owns the implementation of model documentation, state-by-state insurance compliance parameters, and incident escalation paths. You will serve as the primary technical voice explaining the algorithmic logic to external counsel and state insurance commissioners.

Qualifications

  • Stand up and command the corporate AI governance process, including disclosure standards, recording retention, and model tracking.
  • Orchestrate cross-functional pipelines between engineering, legal, privacy, and compliance teams to bake risk mitigations directly into product code.
  • Deep practical experience navigating highly regulated financial or insurance environments with automated customer-facing systems.
  • Translate highly technical machine learning, NLP, and agentic workflows into clear, risk-mitigated business logic for non-technical stakeholders.

Location and market context

This is a remote AI compliance role, so it draws from a national talent pool rather than a single metro. Remote governance and compliance roles reward candidates who can show they work effectively across time zones and distributed legal, security, and product teams. Confirm any residency, travel, or occasional-onsite expectations directly with Ethos Life.

About AI compliance roles

AI compliance operationalizes emerging AI regulation and internal policy into repeatable, auditable controls. The work spans regulatory mapping, evidence collection, and readiness for external and internal review. Roles like this one are typically evaluated against frameworks such as the EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC 42001, and sector privacy and consumer-protection rules.

How to position yourself for this AI compliance role

Strong candidates emphasize regulatory mapping, control design and evidence, audit readiness, and translating fast-moving AI rules into practical requirements for product and engineering teams. In your resume and outreach, tie your experience to how Ethos Life would apply the EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC 42001, and sector privacy and consumer-protection rules, and lead with concrete outcomes rather than duties.
