Undertake frontline supervision of critical financial market infrastructures Contribute to improving the safety and resilience of the Australian financial system Join a collaborative and high-performing team About the team The Clearing and Settlement Supervision Section is part of the RBA's Payments Policy Department. It is responsible for the regulatory supervision of entities that provide critical financial market infrastructure underpinning the majority of financial market transactions in Australia. The Payments Policy Department is responsible for the RBA's payments system policy, regulatory and oversight functions. We help the RBA meet its objectives of promoting competition and efficiency, improving the safety and resilience of the payments system, and safeguarding the stability of Australia's financial system. About the role As a Lead Analyst, you will contribute to the supervision of critical financial market infrastructures, with a focus on financial risk, resilience and governance. You will assess complex issues, engage with supervised entities and provide analysis and advice to support supervisory and policy outcomes. Working closely with colleagues across the RBA and external stakeholders, you will contribute to assessments of risk management frameworks, resilience arrangements and emerging risks that may have implications for financial stability. Your responsibilities include: Conduct supervisory reviews and risk assessments across a range of financial risk and resilience topics. Assess the effectiveness of risk management, governance and control frameworks. Analyse risks and vulnerabilities that could affect supervised entities and broader financial system resilience. Review resilience, recovery and contingency arrangements. Monitor industry developments and emerging risks relevant to financial market infrastructures. Engage constructively with supervised entities and other stakeholders. Prepare high-quality briefings, reports and recommendations for senior management. Examples of the work you may undertake include: Assessing the adequacy of financial resources and resilience arrangements maintained by supervised entities. Reviewing governance, risk management and control frameworks to against regulatory expectations. Evaluating recovery, contingency and default management arrangements. Assessing the impact of emerging risks, industry developments and strategic change initiatives on critical financial market infrastructures. About you You
