This position is located in the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). The OIG's statutory mission and responsibilities, includes, among others; detecting and preventing fraud, waste, abuse and mismanagement in agency programs and operations; promoting economy, efficiency, and effectiveness in agency programs and operations; and conducting audits, investigations, inspections, and reviews. Qualifications: In addition to these basic requirements, you must also possess one year of specialized experience at least equivalent to the next lower grade level in the Federal government. CT-13 Level: To qualify for the CT-13 level you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade (GS/CT-12 level). Specialized experience is defined that through which one has gained experience: Evaluate the adequacy of agency financial statements, information systems, internal controls, and risk management procedures; Conducts inspections and performance audits of program recipients in compliance with federal audit and acquisition standards; Develop performance specifications and standards for auditing information resources management programs and activities throughout an agency, (considering such factors as staff days required, proper use of information systems audit techniques, reasonableness of conclusions, tone, readability of reports and direction, scope, and depth of fact-finding); and Evaluate information system controls, such as access management, data integrity, and incident response in compliance with federal IT standards and best practices for safeguarding sensitive information. CT-14 Level: To qualify for the CT-14 level you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade (GS/CT-13 level). Specialized experience is defined that through which one has gained experience: Lead the evaluation for adequacy of agency financial statements, information systems, internal controls, and risk management procedures; Conduct performance, information technology, contract, and/or financial audits or evaluate federal programs; Lead the evaluation of information systems controls, such as access management, data integrity and incident response in compliance with federal IT standards and best practices for safeguarding sensitive information; and Effectively communicate and provide reporting documents of the results and analysis of audit findings and solutions. ·
