Chief AI Officer

The State of Arkansas is hiring a Chief AI Officer to lead the development and implementation of the state's artificial intelligence strategy. The role establishes AI governance frameworks and policies, coordinates AI adoption across state agencies, maintains a statewide AI technology inventory, and promotes AI literacy throughout government. It provides executive guidance on AI risks and outcomes, requiring strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities along with deep IT management experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
• Eight years of progressively responsible IT management or technology operations experience
• Solid knowledge of IT systems, network administration, and cybersecurity principles
• Experience developing technology governance plans and risk management frameworks (preferred)
