Job Description Summary In simple terms, this role is about helping the region plan better and take smarter risks. You’ll bring together sales, project, supply chain and finance teams to make sure everyone is working from the same plan, while also helping tendering teams identify and manage the risks and opportunities on major grid projects before contracts are signed. It’s a role for someone who understands how complex grid projects are delivered, can bring structure to a lot of moving parts, and is comfortable influencing people across the business without directly managing them. The regional S OP process is at an early stage of development, giving you the opportunity to help shape, establish, and embed a robust operating model across the region. You will also bring your project risk expertise to our Tendering teams, helping identify, evaluate, and manage the risks and opportunities associated with complex grid infrastructure projects before contracts are awarded. This is a highly cross-functional role that sits at the heart of the business, working across functions and levels to help teams plan effectively, make informed decisions, and approach major tender opportunities with greater clarity and confidence. ------------------------------------------------------ How You Will Make a Difference Building and embedding a robust, sustainable S OP operating model across North South Europe, with clear governance, responsibilities, and operating rhythms Collaborating with Sales, Tendering, Project Execution, Supply Chain, Finance, Product Line, and other functional teams to align portfolio, demand, capacity, resources, and financial plans Facilitating cross-functional discussions that enable leadership teams to make informed decisions on capacity, resources, priorities, constraints, and business opportunities Identifying risks, opportunities, and potential scenarios that may impact regional business and operational plans, supporting appropriate mitigation and response actions Driving the identification, assessment, and mitigation of project risks and opportunities across the regional tender pipeline Reviewing contractual, commercial, technical, schedule, operational, and execution risks associated with tender opportunities Leading Risk Opportunity reviews with stakeholders across Tendering, Project Management, Engineering, Commercial, and other relevant functions Supporting the development of appropriate mitigation, contingency, cost reduction, savings, and value-improvement actions Developing meaningful KPIs, dashboards, and reporting that turn complex project and operational data into clear, actionable insight Providing structured risk information and reporting to senior management to support informed decision-making and appropriate escalation Driving process standardisation, simplification, and continuous improvement across regional planning and governance activities Championing the adoption of stronger planning and governance processes through effective communication, stakeholder engagement, and change leadership ------------------------------------------------------ Skills for Success You should be a confident communicator and natural collaborator who thrives on bringing structure to complexity, with: Substantive experience in the execution of complex Grid, power transmission, or Grid Systems Integration projects A strong understanding of the project lifecycle, from tendering through contract award and into project execution Experience identifying, assessing, and managing risks and opportunities within a complex project environment Strong understanding of how project, commercial, technical, schedule, and operational risks can impact successful tendering and execution The ability to influence and align stakeholders across multiple functions without direct authority Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex business and project information and translate it into clear, practical recommendations Confidence engaging, facilitating, and presenting to senior leaders Strong stakeholder management, communication, and leadership capability The ability to operate effectively within a regional, matrix-based organisation The ability to lead change, establish governance, and drive adoption of new or developing processes across multiple stakeholder groups Experience within EPC project environments, HVDC, AC substations, or other major grid infrastructure projects would be particularly valuable. Previous exposure to Sales Operations Planning, Integrated Business Planning, portfolio planning, operational planning, or similar cross-functional business planning processes would also be beneficial. Experience developing or improving governance and planning processes, rather than solely operating within established frameworks, would be advantageous. Knowledge of project risk, planning, or portfolio-management tools such as SAP, ARM, Primavera Unifier, Planisware, or equivalent systems would also be beneficial. A Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Project Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience , is preferred. ------------------------------------------------------ Where and How You ll Work This is a permanent position with Stafford, United Kingdom as the primary UK location. The role may also be considered from selected GE Vernova locations elsewhere within the North South Europe region, including appropriate locations in Spain or France, subject to business requirements. For Stafford-based employees, the role operates on a hybrid model with an expectation of approximately three days per week in the office . Hybrid arrangements for other locations will align with local business practice. Occasional travel may be required for business meetings, tender activities, training, or other business needs.
