Senior Auditor

LSEG is hiring a Senior Auditor into its Internal Audit function in London. The role supports delivery of the Internal Audit plan by taking ownership of components of audit engagements, in line with internal audit methodology.

This is a delivery seat rather than a purely analytical one. You plan individual audit engagements, identify the key risks and controls to be audited, decide the procedures to be performed, and then own the testing, analysis and documentation of complex business processes and controls. You also project manage the people allocated to your sections of a wider engagement, and make sure colleagues working alongside you follow the agreed procedures.

The role expects you to define processes without precedent, which is the part that separates a senior auditor from an associate. You communicate the results of your work independently, document your conclusions, and confirm factual accuracy with stakeholders before those conclusions go anywhere.

LSEG is a global financial markets infrastructure and data business headquartered in the United Kingdom, with operations in around 70 countries and roughly 25,000 employees. Internal audit at an organization of that shape covers business controls and business applications across market infrastructure, data and post-trade services.

Qualifications

• Part Qualified Internal Audit qualification (IIA or CIIA), or Part Qualified Accountant.
• Relevant experience in audit or assurance delivery.
• Experience auditing both business controls and business applications is desired.
• An appreciation of data analytics and the use of AI is desirable.
• Ability to plan an engagement: identify key risks and controls, and select the procedures to test them.
• Ability to project manage colleagues allocated to components of a larger audit engagement.
• Ability to communicate audit results independently and confirm factual accuracy with stakeholders.
