As we expand our nuclear business into new global markets, we are building the compliance and sustainability capabilities to match. Job Description About This Role This is a newly created, high-visibility position within GE Vernova s nuclear supply chain organization, a genuine ground-floor opportunity to build something. As our first dedicated Trade Compliance Sustainability Specialist, you will be the internal go-to expert bridging two critical dimensions: ensuring our global supply base meets international trade regulations, and operationalizing our sustainability commitments across the supplier ecosystem. As the nuclear business grows, with new projects launching across multiple countries, this role carries real career trajectory. Within two to three years, the expectation is that this role evolves in scope, seniority, and team-building responsibility. What You Will Do Manage Trade Compliance Operations: Own import/export documentation, Harmonized System (HS) classification, and country-of-origin determinations; ensure all cross-border shipments meet applicable local and international regulatory standards Monitor and Interpret Evolving Regulations: Stay ahead of rapidly changing trade laws, including tariffs, sanctions, and Section 232, and sustainability mandates such as CBAM, CTPAT, REACH, EUDR, PPWR, and PFAS, translating their implications for the nuclear supply base Drive Sustainability Integration: Monitor supply chain emissions data, support life-cycle assessments, and lead reporting for key sustainability disclosures; coordinate with internal GE Vernova sustainability experts across business units to share knowledge and establish best practices Conduct Supply Chain Audits: Perform internal audits of trade compliance processes; evaluate suppliers against sustainability benchmarks and integrate compliance requirements into supplier onboarding workflows Build Organizational Capability: Develop and deliver targeted training programs for sourcing and supply chain teams on trade and sustainability regulations, driving awareness and adoption at the team level Apply Lean Methodology: Use lean tools, including Problem Solving Reports, Kaizens, Value Stream Mapping, and 5S, to identify process inefficiencies, reduce waste, and continuously improve compliance operations Lead Cross-Functional Partnerships: Serve as a connector between Legal, Procurement, Logistics, and Operations teams; proactively identify where upstream supplier decisions have downstream compliance implications and close those gaps What You Will Bring Required Qualifications Bachelor s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field 5 years of professional experience in supply chain, operations, or compliance Demonstrated ability to navigate complex, cross-functional organizations and influence without direct authority Strong operational instincts, you know how to move from ambiguous regulatory guidance to a concrete action plan U.S. work authorization without need for immigration sponsorship (current or future) Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with international trade frameworks: CBAM, CTPAT, REACH, EUDR, PPWR, PFAS, or export control regulations Experience with SAP and/or EcoVadis Background in or exposure to nuclear, aerospace, defense, or similarly regulated industries Experience developing and facilitating compliance or regulatory training programs Lean or continuous improvement certification or demonstrated application (Kaizen, VSM, 5S) What Will Set You Apart You are equally comfortable reading a regulatory update and presenting a supplier action plan, you can translate complexity into clarity You have a builder s mentality: you don t wait for a defined process, you create one You are resourceful, you know when to go internal (leverage GE Vernova s network) and when to go external (research, benchmarking, industry groups) You take ownership of ambiguous problems and drive them to resolution without needing a compliance playbook handed to you Why GE Vernova Join a company at the forefront of the global clean energy transition, including a growing nuclear business expanding into new international markets Build something from scratch, this is a first-of-its-kind role with visibility at the leadership level Grow with the business: the hiring manager has explicitly designed this role with a clear path to increased scope, team leadership, and career advancement Collaborate across GE Vernova s global community of trade, sustainability, and supply chain professionals Work in an organization that values operational excellence, intellectual curiosity, and continuous learning Note: This role is open to U.S. citizens and permanent residents. Relocation Assistance Provided: Yes For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $94,600.00 and $157,700.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus. This posting is expected to remain open for at least seven days after it was posted on September 15, 2026.
