The recent graduates program targets individuals who have graduated recently from qualifying educational institutions or programs. To be eligible, applicants must apply within 2 years of degree or certificate completion, except for veterans precluded from doing so due to their military service obligations, who will have up to 6 years after degree or certificate completion. Successful applicants will be placed in a dynamic, career development program.

Qualifications: Who May Be Considered: Individuals who have obtained a qualifying Associates, Bachelor's, Master's, Professional, Doctorate, Vocational or Technical degree or certificate from a qualifying educational institution, within the previous 2 years. OR Veterans (as defined in 5 U.S.C. 2108) who were unable to apply within 2 years of obtaining a qualifying Associates, Bachelor's, Master's, Professional, Doctorate, Vocational or Technical degree or certificate from a qualifying educational institution due to their military service obligation. Veterans have a full 2-year eligibility period to apply upon his/her release or discharge from active duty. The eligibility period for veterans must be within 6 years of degree completion. You MUST provide your DD-214 to support this claim. Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's degree in computer science or bachelor's degree with 30 semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science. At least 15 of the 30 semester hours must have included any combination of statistics and mathematics that included differential and integral calculus. All academic degrees and course work must be from accredited or pre-accredited institutions. In addition to the Eligibility, and Basic Education Requirement, your resume must demonstrate the following Qualifying Experience: Your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service. For the GG-07 position, qualifying experience is defined as: Assisting with basic software development tasks and ticket resolution under direct supervision; following established build, branch, and deployment processes using version control and issue tracking tools; and demonstrating a foundational knowledge of web development frameworks and languages such as SPFx, React, and JavaScript. For the GG-09 position, qualifying experience is defined as: Performing software development and deployment processes under general supervision; managing code branches and executing software releases using version control systems; and applying a working knowledge of SPFx, React, and JavaScript to actively resolve development tickets and participate in agile team processes. For the GG-11 position, qualifying experience is defined as: Independently managing software development tasks, including build, deploy, and hotfix processes throughout the agile sprint lifecycle; troubleshooting complex platform issues by coordinating with external stakeholders or network enterprise; and utilizing proficiency in SPFx, React, JavaScript, and Git to consistently deliver reliable software solutions. For the GG-12 position, qualifying experience is defined as: Independently engineering solutions and proposing design improvements for complex coding challenges; leading cross-team collaboration to gather information, troubleshoot systems, and resolve platform issues; and applying expert-level knowledge of SPFx, React, and JavaScript to evaluate technical add-ons and determine the optimal technical solution for the enterprise environment. For the GG-13 position, qualifying experience is defined as: Serving as a technical authority who proactively manages, architects, and optimizes software solutions across the development lifecycle; integrating emerging technologies, such as Artificial Intelligence, into enterprise software solutions; and driving cross-functional collaboration and mentoring teams by introducing and adopting new technical solutions to optimize overall system performance. *****Candidates must describe how they meet the qualifying experience within the body of their resume. *****Veterans - DD-214 are required, and will render an ineligible rating if not submitted. *****Transcripts are required along with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50. The absence of this information will result in an ineligible rating. *****Candidate must meet Recent Graduate eligibility requirement by end of the Fall 2026 Semester.
