ace-line old-record-id- The compliance function at OKX is responsible for the overall compliance culture at the company. We are a team of risk minded problem solvers, who advise the business on the company’s regulatory obligations and enterprise risks.

ace-line old-record-id- As Head of Compliance of OKCoin Europe (Malta), you will be responsible for leading and building out a growing team, and enhancing key aspects of our compliance program, while monitoring developments locally. This requires strong leadership as well as sound technical competencies, to handle complex matters and work with colleagues at all levels. The position reports directly to the Head of Compliance EMEA, with matrix reporting to local management as necessary. You will:

ace-line old-record-id- Lead the OKCoin Europe (Malta) compliance team providing strategic direction, training and advisory support to our business partners / stakeholders with regards to compliance, in a constantly evolving regulatory environment.

ace-line old-record-id- Develop and maintain robust compliance policies, procedures, controls and frameworks.

ace-line old-record-id- Engage cross-functionally (e.g. Data, Engineering, Finance, Legal, Product, and Risk teams) to implement an effective compliance management program, in line with the global standards and industry best practices.

ace-line old-record-id- Monitor and assess compliance with Maltese / EU laws, regulations and policies, particularly as they pertain to compliance.

ace-line old-record-id- Oversee annual, periodic and on-demand compliance reviews and investigations, including but not limited to compliance monitoring programme reviews, annual policy updates / refreshes, and compliance risk assessments.

ace-line old-record-id- Participate in Board committee and sub-committee meetings, whether as a member or on an as-needed basis.

ace-line old-record-id- Conduct and oversee company training schedule.

ace-line old-record-id- Liaise with other second and third line teams, to ensure a sufficient control environment that complies with regulatory standards.

ace-line old-record-id- Act as first port of call for business team members in compliance issues and advise accordingly.

ace-line old-record-id- Prepare compliance reports, including reports to management and the board, and other materials as required by direct and matrix stakeholders.

ace-line old-record-id- 10 years plus experience in regulatory compliance within financial services, payments companies (e.g. EMI and e-money), fintech or cryptocurrency sectors.

ace-line old-record-id- Experience of leading and overseeing an effective compliance management program in line with Malta / EU standards, and an awareness of local and international industry best practices.

ace-line old-record-id- Strong leadership experience, including dealing with senior business stakeholders.

ace-line old-record-id- Good people s management skills.

ace-line old-record-id- Previously held a regulated compliance approved person (e.g. SMF16 or equivalent) in a banking, payments, or crypto firm, or otherwise able to demonstrate sufficient experience in senior compliance roles, with corresponding responsibilities to those specified above.
