Lead Director, AI Governance Engineering

CVS Health is building an AI Governance Engineering capability to modernize governance through automation, and is hiring a Lead Director to stand up and run this function with a lean engineering team responsible for delivering governance-as-code solutions. The role establishes and operates enterprise MLOps, LLMOps, and GenAIOps platforms, including CI/CD for models and prompts, deployment automation, observability, and lifecycle governance.

The Lead Director standardizes production controls such as model versioning, canary deployments, rollback strategies, policy enforcement, and audit-ready change management, embedding governance directly into the engineering and deployment pipeline rather than as an after-the-fact review.

This is a work-from-home role supporting CVS Health's enterprise AI initiatives across its healthcare businesses.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software and/or data engineering, including large-scale platform delivery
• 5+ years leading managers and cross-functional teams
• Experience with MLOps, LLMOps, and GenAIOps platforms and CI/CD for models
• Experience with production controls: model versioning, canary deployments, rollback, policy enforcement
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
