Qualifications APPOINTMENT STATUS EXCEPTED This is a Dual Status Excepted Service Technician position in the Pennsylvania Air National Guard. AREA OF CONSIDERATION Non-Bargaining Position AOC 1 NG Employees at the 171st Air Refueling Wing AOC 2 NG employees in the 171st Air Refueling Wing (This includes 258th ATCS 146 Weather Flight 146 ARS and 147 ARS) AOC 3 NG Employees of the Pennsylvania National Guard AOC 4 All service members of the Pennsylvania National Guard (This includes Traditional Airmen Temporary Technicians and AGR Personnel) Military Grades ELNLISTED E8-E9 Supervisor for this position is Lt Col McCullough Manpower # *NOTE Accessioning into this position is contingent upon verification of Secret Security Clearance *NOTE If you're a new supervisor in the Federal Government civil service you may have to complete a one-year probationary period. GENERAL EXPERIENCE Experience education or training involving planning developing or administering quality assurance programs (i.e. supporting the development acquisition production use maintenance storage and supply of products concerned with the systematic prevention of defects and non-conformances the identification of unsatisfactory trends and conditions and the correction of factors which may contribute to defective items). Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE Application must indicate 36 Months of experience education or training involving a thorough knowledge of product or range of products involved the manufacturing methods and techniques special processes test and performance requirements and skill in developing plans and programs. Experience possessed by an expert in the area of specialization able to give technical direction to otherwise competent workers. Experience determining operations when difficult and questionable phases of malfunctions are found. Experience which required significant and concrete work accomplishments (i.e. special projects working groups or detailing assignments) involving interpersonal contacts in a quality assurance or related field. Experience in dealing with management principles and supervisory responsibility for the function required by type of position to be filled and the organization involved. QUALITY OF EXPERIENCE Length of time is not of itself qualifying. Candidates' experience should be evaluated on the basis of duties performed rather than strictly on the rank of the individual however established compatibility criteria/assignments must be followed. The applicant's record of experience training and education must show possession of the knowledge skills and abilities needed to fully perform the duties of the position to be filled.
