We are looking for a Transaction Risk Manager reporting into the Head of Financial Crime, the role will be pivotal in supporting in the day-to-day leadership and oversight of Transaction Risk activities. You will enhance and improve the capability of an increasingly self-sufficient function, developing colleagues, improving ways of working and ensuring Transaction Risk provides effective support and challenge across the Bank.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Own and maintain Transaction Risk processes, procedures and operational standards, with support from relevant functions.
Design and embed improved ways of working, with clear responsibilities, decision points and escalation routes.
Monitor backlogs, performance and operational risks, and taking action where required.
Support new client onboarding and material changes or emerging risks relating to existing clients.
Provide input on complex or higher-risk clients and participate in client discussions where appropriate.
Support Team Leaders and colleagues with prioritisation, complex cases and operational decision-making.
Provide operational input into the effectiveness of transaction monitoring and sanctions/payment screening controls.
Support the development, testing and implementation of changes to monitoring rules, screening arrangements and associated workflows.
Help develop stakeholder capability so routine matters can increasingly be managed without dependency on Transaction Risk.
Take ownership for facilitating audits, assurance reviews, regulatory requests and control assessments affecting Transaction Risk, as well as completion of relevant actions.
Represent Transaction Risk at relevant governance forums, projects and working groups.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Strong experience within Financial Crime operations, including either Transaction Monitoring or Sanctions in a regulated financial services environment.
Experience developing and improving operational processes and procedures.
Experience managing competing operational priorities and managing relationships with senior stakeholders, including those at other financial services providers.
Experience owning audit, assurance and regulatory activity, including coordinating responses and driving related actions through to completion.
Strong leadership, coaching and decision-making skills.
Ability to translate complex requirements into clear and practical processes.
A proactive approach to ownership and continuous improvement.
You already reside in Estonia as we do not offer relocation for this role.
