St. Paul's Senior Services is hiring a Vice President of Corporate Compliance and Risk Management to serve as its executive compliance leader. This is the top compliance seat in a multi-entity senior services organization, reporting into executive leadership and presenting directly to governing boards. About the role The Vice President owns the strategic direction, governance and continuous improvement of an enterprise-wide compliance and ethics program. Regulatory accountability spans every current and future line of business: senior housing, skilled nursing, community-based services including PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly), home-based care and other regulated healthcare operations. The role works through a matrixed governance structure, providing strategic leadership to division compliance functions rather than managing them directly. This is a full-time, on-site position in San Diego. Key responsibilities Lead the enterprise compliance strategy and own the design, implementation and continuous improvement of the corporate compliance program Establish compliance governance frameworks, standards, policies and performance metrics across all service lines and locations Lead enterprise risk management: identification, assessment, prioritization, mitigation and reporting of strategic, operational, regulatory, financial and reputational risk Partner with insurance, safety, clinical, operational and legal stakeholders to manage risk exposure Advise executive leadership, board committees and governing bodies on compliance risk, regulatory developments and program effectiveness Direct responses to regulatory surveys, audits, investigations and enforcement actions, including corrective action planning Oversee enterprise auditing, monitoring and compliance analytics Ensure investigation, resolution and reporting of compliance concerns, hotline reports and potential misconduct Provide executive oversight of privacy, HIPAA and information governance programs Partner on strategic initiatives, growth, acquisitions, integrations and new business ventures Represent the organization with regulatory agencies and industry associations Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, law or a related field required. Master's degree, Juris Doctor or other advanced degree strongly preferred. Certifications: Healthcare compliance certification preferred, such as CHC, CHPC, CCEP or CPHQ. Experience: Minimum of five years
