Washington Headquarters Services is hiring a Records and Information Management Specialist in Alexandria, Virginia. Located in the Records & Privacy Branch, RDD, ESD, Washington Headquarters Services (WHS), the Records & Information Management Specialist delivers technical and program expertise for the WHS RIM Program. The RDD develops records management policies for the Office of Secretary of War (OSW) and select, Defense Agencies and Field Activities. The incumbent supports the Branch Chief and WHS Records Manager in executing RIM requirements. Qualifications: In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below. You may qualify at the GS-11 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service (experience may have been gained in the private sector) that demonstrates your ability to (1) Administering full life cycle records and information management (RIM) activities-including creation, retention, maintenance, use, safeguarding, and final disposition-in accordance with standard policies; (2) Assisting in the evaluation and assessment of manual and digital record-keeping databases; AND (3) Coordinating the transfer, archiving, retrieval, and disposal of official records with state, federal, or commercial records centers (such as the National Archives and Records Administration [NARA] or equivalent external storage facilities). All qualifications and education requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement and clearly documented in your resume. Your resume may not exceed two (2) pages.
