The Office of Inspector General (OIG) defines the oversight authority, responsibilities, and guidance regarding activities of the OIG at NSA and conducts oversight of the NSA mission. Within the OIG, the Audit branch performs independent audits and related reviews of Agency programs and operations in accordance with government auditing standards, designed to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and standards and to improve the Agency's efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications: The qualifications listed below are the minimum acceptable to be considered for the position. Relevant experience must be in one or more of the following: security; counseling; social work; auditing; information technology systems security or policy; investigative interviewing or investigative report writing; applying or enforcing the law; performing EEO functions; government oversight; conducting intelligence work within the IC; or working as an investigator, grievance examiner, analyst, or compliance officer. FULL PERFORMANCE Entry is with a high school diploma or GED plus 7 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree plus 5 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree plus 1 year of relevant experience, or a Doctoral degree and no experience. SENIOR Entry is with a high school diploma or GED plus 10 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree plus 8 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree plus 6 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree plus 4 years of relevant experience, or a Doctoral degree plus 2 years of relevant experience. EXPERT Entry is with a high school diploma or GED plus 13 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree plus 11 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree plus 9 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree plus 7 years of relevant experience, or a Doctoral degree plus 5 years of relevant experience.
