Senior Examiner Information Technology (IT & Operations Risk Central Point of Contact) CG-0570-15

This position is located in the Division of Risk Management Supervision and is responsible for planning, supervising, directing, and conducting IT and operations risk management examinations of highly complex financial institutions and other entities that provide information systems services. Duty location will be determined upon selection and subject to space availability. Position may be filled at any FDIC Field office within the San Francisco, Kansas City, New York and Atlanta regions.

Qualifications: Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Additional qualifications information can be found here. To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the 14 grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as specialized experience conducting IT and operations risk management examinations of financial institutions AND independent service providers utilizing IT audit techniques and internal control requirements to examine insured depository institutions information systems centers and service providers. Must be a commissioned examiner.
