Specialized experience for the GS-12 - One year of specialized experience which includes: Analyze draft RMIC policies, directives, and regulatory updates to identify operational impacts and assist in updating local governance frameworks; draft standard operating procedures and instructional job aids to support organizational personnel in executing established internal control workflows; execute routine internal control reviews and risk assessments to verify compliance with policy mandates and document localized vulnerabilities; consolidate programmatic evaluation data and internal control metrics to support the preparation and assembly of the agency's annual Statement of Assurance; and deliver standardized training briefings and administrative assistance to guide cross-functional teams in routine risk management activities. Specialized experience for the GS-13 One year of specialized experience which includes: Formulate agency-wide RMIC policies and governance directives to establish standardized operational risk boundaries and ensure compliance with federal mandates; develop comprehensive implementation guidance and standard operating procedures to translate complex statutory requirements into actionable steps for organizational personnel; conduct rigorous internal control evaluations and operational assessments to detect system vulnerabilities, mitigate compliance risks, and establish remediation priorities; synthesize multi-directorate evaluation findings and internal control metrics to prepare and defend the agency's annual Statement of Assurance for executive leadership; and provide authoritative policy interpretations and strategic training to educate cross-functional teams and foster an organizational culture of continuous risk awareness. Time in Grade Requirement: for GS-12: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
