QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST
United States Fleet Forces Command is hiring for the job of QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST, Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, Virginia (On-site). You will serve as a QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST in the QUALITY ASSURANCE AUDIT BRANCH (723) in the INSPECTION, TEST, AND QA DIVISION LIFTING AND HANDLING DEPARTMENT of the NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.
Qualifications: To qualify for the GS-11, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience demonstrating the ability to plan and conduct audits, program reviews, inspections, and/or organizational evaluations to evaluate compliance with established policies, procedures, standards, and requirements. Experience researching and analyzing information. Experience interviewing personnel, developing audit plans and identifying findings and root causes. Experience preparing reports, memorandums, and recommendations, communicating audit results through in-briefs and out-briefs and reviewing and maintaining quality-related databases or tracking systems (e.g., monitors, CTS, QPS). Experience recommending corrective actions and process improvements and effectively communicating with management and stakeholders both orally and in writing. Experience applying quality assurance principles, evaluating organizational processes, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives is highly desirable.
