The AI Policy Analyst translates fast-moving AI regulation and internal policy into practical, auditable requirements. The role monitors the EU AI Act, the NIST AI Risk Management Framework, ISO/IEC 42001, and sector rules, builds the second-line monitoring and testing framework for AI risk, and advises product, legal, and compliance teams. It is an entry-to-mid path into AI governance for people who can read a regulation and turn it into a control.
BLS put the 2024 median at $78,420. In 2026, market trackers show averages from roughly $99,000 to $120,000, with the top quartile above $160,000. Financial centers and senior governance roles sit at the top of that range.
