Job Description Summary The Senior Risk Manager will be responsible for developing a Risk Management Plan and driving identification, evaluation, treatment and overall governance of project risks. This is a critical role requiring strong leadership, highly energetic person, strong hands-on analytical capability with clear thinking and willingness to challenge the status quo. Job Description Essential Responsibilities: Leads Risk Management activities within Advanced Nuclear involving Small Modular Reactors for large-scale EPC Projects. Lead and manage Risk Opportunity identification, discussion mitigation actions (throughout the entire Project life cycle) including a diligent follow-up and problem solving rigor on open risk mitigation actions . Drives risk related daily management routines, operational risk reviews, and performance tracking, and support leaders in resolving bottlenecks through structured problem solving. Requires strong hands-on analytical capability, the successful candidate will be comfortable moving between detailed data analysis, operational reviews, and senior leadership communication. Ability to demonstrate good leadership, influencing and management skills including the ability to work independently and communicate effectively within and across all levels of the organization. Enable Cross-Functional Alignment: Work closely with Project Management, PMO, functional teams, and other stakeholders to ensure Risk Management priorities are understood, aligned, and delivered. Services as expert and primary point of contact for Risk Management within the Project team. Benchmark internal external risk management processes best practices. Refine and improve the processes, KPIs, and communication rhythms Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science from an accredited university or college Proficient in using industry standard tools for Planning and quantitative risk analysis involving monte Carlo simulations – such as P6, SAFRAN or equivalent. At least 8-10 years of relevant work experience (nuclear industry engineering/operations experience, or planning, project controls, project management, risk management, construction management, contracts management or equivalent). At least 3 years of risk management or project controls experience Solid understanding of power projects life cycle, project risk management principles, relevant technical, financial and Contract terms . Ability to handle many complex issues/projects concurrently Willingness and ability to travel globally 20% of the time Desired Qualifications: Demonstrated leadership in a matrix environment Strong execution discipline and Say-Do ratio, with consistent follow-through P6 and Microsoft suite proficiency. Exceptional oral and written communication skills Strong interpersonal and leaderships skills Thrives in high-demand, detail oriented multi-priority environments Strategic thinker with a track record for developing innovative solutions to difficult business problems. Project Controls management, Contract Management or Risk Management experience Project/Construction management experience in power industry. Structured, hands-on problem solver with focus on root cause and sustainable outcomes Technical knowledge of commercial nuclear reactors associated systems. For candidates applying to a Canadian-based position, the pay range for this position is between $137,600 and $187,599 CAD. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education and skill set.
