Compliance Analyst Skills

Compliance Analysts help organizations understand obligations and verify that required practices are operating. Important skills include regulatory research, obligation mapping, policy review, monitoring, control testing, records management, investigation support, issue tracking, training support, and clear escalation.

Applied skill means translating a rule into specific questions: which activity is affected, who owns compliance, what must happen, what evidence should exist, and what constitutes a breach. To prove competence, build an obligation register and monitoring plan for a realistic business process. Include source citations, owners, controls, evidence, frequency, exceptions, and remediation.
