Model Risk Management Skills

Model risk management governs the possibility that models are wrong, unstable, misunderstood, or used outside their limits. Core skills include model identification, inventory governance, risk tiering, validation scoping, limitation analysis, independent challenge, findings management, performance monitoring, change control, and aggregate reporting.
Applied skill means connecting technical weaknesses to decisions and harm. A performance decline may be tolerable for one use but unacceptable for another. Demonstrate competence with a model-risk assessment defining intended use, materiality, validation requirements, limitations, monitoring thresholds, change triggers, and conditions for approval.
