AI Auditing Skills

AI Auditing Skills illustration

AI auditing applies independent assurance discipline to governance, data, models, controls, decisions, and monitoring. Employers seek audit scoping, risk-based planning, process walkthroughs, evidence evaluation, technical literacy, sampling, control testing, issue development, root-cause analysis, and audit-committee communication.

Applied AI auditing requires understanding both the system and the management process around it. A model can perform well while governance fails, or documentation can look complete while technical tests are weak. Build a sample audit program covering inventory completeness, risk classification, approvals, data governance, evaluation, human oversight, monitoring, incident response, and issue follow-up.
